Full bathroom renovation in a Victorian terrace — Heaton, Newcastle

A tired 1990s bathroom in a Victorian terrace, stripped back to brick and rebuilt as a modern family bathroom. The owners had used our online quote tool first, arrived with a realistic budget in mind, and the fixed quote after the survey landed inside the range they'd seen on screen.

Our plumbers ran new copper and waste pipework and moved the soil connection to allow a wall-hung WC, while a new towel radiator was teed off the existing heating circuit. The same week, our tilers boarded and tanked the shower area, then laid large-format porcelain to the walls and a porcelain floor over a levelled base. Our decorators finished the ceiling, woodwork and the one painted wall so the room was handed over complete — not 'complete except the painting'.

Because all three trades worked to one schedule, there were no dead days between first fix and final coat. The job was handed over after a snagging walkthrough with the owners, with the workmanship guarantee confirmed in writing.
